Vacancy: WordPress Developer

We are seeking a WordPress Developer responsible for both back-end and front-end development. Experience with responsive and adaptive design is essential.

This position requires a combination of programming skills (namely PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript) as well as an understanding of user-experience and aesthetics (understanding element arrangements on the screen, the colour, font choices, and so on).

Also, an understanding of the entire web development process, including design, development, and deployment is preferred.

Salary: Competitive and depending on experience.

Main Responsibilities

Developing and building professional WordPress websites to a given design & brief, within set timeframes
Implementing new features, plugins and functionality to WordPress sites
Establishing and guiding the website’s architecture
Ensuring high-performance and managing all technical aspects of the CMS
Ability to manage deadlines and your own work log, within set daily tasks.

Key Competencies

A Passion for all things WordPress
Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
Meticulous attention to detail
Experience designing and developing responsive design websites
Comfortable working with debugging tools like Chrome inspector.
Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages
Good grasp of written English and grammar
Friendly, helpful, with a desire to deliver excellent customer service and business support
Creative, hardworking and resourceful

Desirable

Knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator
Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
Understanding of PHP back-end development (outside of WordPress)
Understanding of server-side administration (LEMP stack and Ubuntu)
