Two members of the team achieved the Level 6 Award in Understanding Business and Enterprise Support, and nine business advisors achieved Level 7 Diploma in Professional Business and Enterprise Support, which is equivalent to a master’s degree. Every member of the team boasts their own specialism. From financial planning to sales and marketing, developing workforce skills to digital innovation and securing funding, entrepreneurs can seek support from New Anglia Growth Hub in any business area they need to. Now, with this comprehensive new qualification under their belts, every one of the team’s members has developed a broad base of the high level skills, knowledge and understanding required of outstanding business advisers. Specifically, the Level 7 Diploma is designed to give business support professionals the capacity to better assist entrepreneurs at the start of their enterprise journey, or those looking to develop established businesses. Holding this qualification the New Anglia Growth Hub advisers will be better able to help clients review their progress, create flexible and intelligent action plans, implement change effectively and efficient, and develop their own business skills and insight.

IOEE Chief Executive Sarah Trouten said: “The New Anglia Growth Hub are an exemplar of best practice in enterprise support. SFEDI research shows that businesses that engage with support are more resilient and more than twice as likely to experience business growth. This cannot be achieved without a quality and consistent approach to learning and skills development. We are looking forward to working with the team at New Anglia to develop and strengthen business support across the UK, directly contributing to UK PLC.”

Chris Starkie is the managing director of New Anglia LEP. Clearly very proud of the Growth Hub team’s hard work, he said:

“The quantity of support offered by the New Anglia Growth Hub is there in black and white – over 20,000 hours of face-to-face advice to more than 5,000 businesses speaks for itself. This accreditation tells businesses in Suffolk they can also rely on the quality of support, and is testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire team.”
